Now I have a confession to make.
I gots the baby fever.
Okay, so I'm only 20, but hey, biological clocks start ticking earlier and earlier these days, right?
All these mama bloggers out there with the cute baby bellies are givin’ me the fever.
Then the ones with 9 kids and counting showcasing darling pictures of their tykes with spaghetti sauce all over their noggins or crayon masterpieces gracing their family room walls (Cute, right?)
I mean, if you can disregard the late night screaming, getting slim to nil hours of shuteye, the poop, and the fact I would have to push it out myself (ouch), they are pretty adorable creatures.
I've even started brainstorming names. This list began as a freshman in high school, scary I know. I made the executive decision to name all of my girls by boy’s names. (To make them suffer through childhood like their mama) haha, kidding, my name is rad.
Girls: Dylan, Ryley, Ashton, Avery, Blake, Kylar, Brooklyn, Nevaeh, Jayden, Audra, Khia, Kamdyn, Addisyn, Aidan, Kyle, Cameron, Eden, Kai, Kayden, Payton, Collette
Boys: Braison, Taylor, Brody, Callaway, Clayton, Cole, Dalton, Kiel, Ayden, Brayden, Alton, Karson, Alden, Brady, Corbin, Keaten, Carmen
Disclaimer: Hipster baby names may or may not have influenced some of these.
After I saw Cheaper by the Dozen at the ripe old age of eleven, I was determined to one day have twelve kids of my own. Just for funsies.
What will your baby look like? Simply upload a picture of yourself and your hunny (Or Ryan Gosling, whichever you prefer) I chose the latter.
Can we say Yikes?
Okay, so I realize I might not be ready to carry a beach ball for 9 months and then raise it for 18 years to eternity. So, for motherhood prep, I figured maybe I could get a puppy or a hamster.
Well, puppies are expensive and hamsters smell.
I decided I’d just start with keeping a bamboo plant alive.
water + sunshine = happy vegetation.... right?
Wrong. Say bye bye to Ralph.
Signs you are too young for a baby:
1. You spend 87% of your time on a college campus.
2. You don’t have $100 cash monay in the bank.
3. You can't even take care of a pet.
4. Or yourself.
5. Or a bamboo plant.
Perhaps I should hold off a while longer?
Thoughts? Concerns?
Now here's to hoping (wishing, praying) none of my college boy prospects read my blog....cuz lord knows all my exes do.

This is awesome! I always hve baby fever and I have my names picked out too :-) Also began in highschool!
I love the Shane/Gosling mash up - is there an orb in the photo?! haha! and girl, i've been married almost 7 years and i'm still not ready for kids! being a grown up kid seems to be a lot more fun :)
Hahaha! Love this. I definitely gots da baby fever, too. And I can relate to four of the five signs. I don't have a bamboo plant, but I couldn't take care of my aloe plant either! Great post this morning :)
Take my child for 1 day, ok maybe 2, and I can cure you. Sure she's cute, but she literally wakes up going at 60mph, doesn't sit still for longer than about 30 seconds all day, and only takes about an hour and a half nap. Sound like fun? Lol
Girl, I feel the same way! I want a little baby!! haha! It seems like everyone in blog world in pregnant!
The picture at the top is to die for! How adorable is she?!
Pleeeeeeaaassse have fun first! I had a BLAST in college and about 6 years after that and those amazing good times make it possible for me to be content wearing my pajamas at 5pm on a Saturday night:)
I was the same way, though, I KNEW I wanted to be a mom and had all the names picked out...until my husband hated them all. Naming kids together is HARD!
Considering at 17 months my daughter is STILL not sleeping through the night I'd advise LOTS of sleeping in and doing whatever YOU want before you even think of kiddos. Just offer to babysit for your friends to get your baby fix. If you're in Kansas anytime soon, I know someone who'd take you up on that offer :)
You're not alone, girl! I started making a list of baby names when I was just a kid. I'm only 21...and don't exactly have a man in my life haha but I love kids. Luckily I babysit enough to get my baby fix. =)
ha you're so funny. i also have baby fever. i feel your pain. pinterest doesn't help either, the kid stuff on there is beyond adorable.
x
haha i am the exact opposite and i am 6 years older than you! whoops!
Bamboo plants are very difficult to look after, many have died in my care! I have baby fever (almost 30) but need to finish my studies - lucky for me all my friends are doing the baby thing so I can just share their babies :) Its nice when they can be returned xx

Girl, I'm 20 years old too and I feel the EXACT same way! My best friend has a baby and it just makes me want one too.
Unfortunately, I meet all the requirements for "Too Young for a Baby"
Oh well.
Love this!! All my friends are getting married and/or having babies. It's strange!! I definitely DON'T want one right now, but I get the baby fever. I plan on naming my first boy Braydon. I don't know about the girls though. Who cares if it's a hipster name? I <3 it!
Haha! I defintely don't have baby fever but they are sure cute. And I really like your girl names.
I LOVE all your names!! My little girl is named Camdyn :) It took convincing my husband, but I won, haha. We're now expecting #2 and I really like Colette or Elodie. We don't know the sex yet, but girl names are so much easier for me!
LOL! Baby fever for sure. That's actually one very large reason why i've stopped blogging. After trying to get pregnant for almost a year without luck, seeing all these lucky soon-to-be mommies makes me put too much pressure on myself. LOVE all your names. A couple I hadn't heard of before, they may go on my list :)
That baby is adorable! LOL. I love her braids. I also love the baby names that you've come up with!

I've had baby fever for a couple years (although I just turned 27 so I think people are starting to expect me to pop one out here soon). I've already informed my husband that if we have a boy his we're not continuing the tradition of his middle name (both he and his dad have his grandpa's name for middle names but I can't stand the name - Wayne).
Funny! I have baby fever and I have a seven-month-old son! And I KNOW I don't need another babe right now!

I have it too! Ive made a list of names probably every year since I was a sophomore in high school. Most of them change but a few stay. Nervous that when the time comes my husband will hate them all but it's an important topic so I will live if he does.
I'm 28 and still have yet to experience even the mildest form of baby fever. I was made to be an Aunt... and I am, so it works out perfectly. I suppose she should have a cousin though... And kids are great tax deductions. Yea, no... still not in a hurry, if ever.
Hey..wait a minute...Didn't you mention in a post around New Year's that you were expecting???
Well, I've never had baby fever...But I have been pregnant at the same time as many others. Nope, not at all planned and not the result of having baby fever!
I like that #5 on the list of signs you're too young for a baby...You can't take care of a bamboo plant! LOL
